I'm a bit tired though, with jet lag and all that stuff, but that's not the main thing I am trying to say in this entry.

It's been one and a half years since I left Singapore to help my dad in his business back here in Indonesia, and I am surprised... well, not really at how things have changed in Singapore.

Some things remain the same, while others have changed. Change is something that is so common in Singapore, so it is not something that is very strange. But I was a bit sad that only a token handful of my old lecturers are all that is left of the people that taught me back in my poly days... so yeah, it made me feel a bit sad. Who knows one day, when I return there again, only to find that everyone that I know has left? That would be a real sad day for me.

In the wedding, I ate a lot of good stuff there... but that is not what I wanted to say either. The wedding itself was a milestone for me in a sense, that I sung on that wedding, singing one song of Michael Buble's as a wedding gift for my cousin that got married ( My cousin is the bride, by the way).

I do not know how that came about, but let me tell you that it was the first time I felt natural at singing in front of people. Mind you, I have quite a stage fright at public speaking back then, so in a way, this was a breakthrough for me, seeing that I signed up for a Public Speaking Course a few months back.

Myabe it is because I have done a little practice for public speaking now and then, though as much as I am embarrassed to admit it... it also might have to do with the glass of wine I drank. Now, I think I have a low alcohol tolerance, though I have never really ever tried to get myself drunk, which I consider to be bad. But in any case, in that particular time, I somehow became bold enough to do all that, and take an important step in my life.

IN short, whatever caused me to act in such a manner, I am actually grateful, since that was a great personal milestone for myself.

Becoming a Fanfiction Writer

I finally finished Chapter 1 of my Mechwarrior/Battletech Story a few days ago. Thankfully someone had given me some reviews and private messages to help me settle in to the story, which brings me to the reason I wrote this particular entry. I must admit, the decision for me to become a fanfiction writer is a bit spontaneous at that time.

I am what people say, a bookworm, since I was young, and I love reading. When I started reading fanfiction, I was... amazed, and to be honest, mystified by it. I read a lot of them, and over time, I toyed with the idea in my mind, to become a fanfiction writer myself. Of course, I stalled for a bit of time, and after much time of thinking, I decided on writing my first fanfiction.

To my surprise, it was quite well received, and ever since, I have been writing a few fanfics. Currently I have 12 fanfics that I have currently written. Some enjoy a lot of readership, the others not so, and like any other writer, I do encounter occasional writer blocks from time to time, but I usually bounce back quite quickly once I have overcome the dreaded writer's block.

With this entry, I enclose the site where I write my fanfics, which is Fanfiction.net. I attwach the link below.

www.fanfiction.net

You all can find me by searching for the author name, steinerdavion2183 there, and see whatever stories that I have written. For budding fanfiction writers out there, I encourage you all to start writing, and not to be afraid of critics, or failure. Failure is the mother of success, and you will find, that you will feel a sense of accomplishment, if you try to write one, and it turns out to be a success. So stop procrastinating, and get writing! :D

Four Years Later

Well, it has been four years since my last update. A lot of things has happened since, for example my return to Indonesia for one thing. It's hard to believe that I have already been back in Indo for one and a half years, but there you go.

I enjoy my time here, helping my dad and learning the ropes of the business. Of course, like all people, time to time, I still screw up now and then, but hey, we are human and we do that from time to time, no matter who it is.

I have grown to be more mature and responsible during my time in Indonesia, though I do admit I have still a long way to go, and a lot more to learn and to improve myself daily. I still attend church, though a bit irregularly, something that I am planning to rectify from now on.

On a brighter note, I am planning to get Baptiste this year! Yay for me! Why I made this decision, you might ask? I have been thinking about this for so long, and I felt that I cannot postpone this any longer. So there you g! *grins*

Anyway, I also made quite a headway in my writing, now that I have a regular use of a comp, so I finally can do something I really like! Cool, huh?

Well, I think that is all I think I can write here for now... I'll update more, when I have more things to say. Cheers!

First Thoughts

22 years old.... an age where most people conisder you a young adult. Yet, it seems that I still have a lot to learn. I know that people should never stop gaining new experiences ( which for me can be quite painful sometimes), but well... sometimes, as I mentioned.... it is quite tough. I faced quite a few ups and downs like everyone else, but I may find it tougher because well, I lead quite a sheltered childhood. Most of the basic skills that everybody should have learnt during their childhood was denied, in a way to me.. and others did those tasks for me. As a result, I have to learn those skills at much later, and through the process, I faced my share of "suffering", or I should say a quite late onset of "growing pains". Not that I do not welcome them of course, for I feel myself being refined and molded to be, hopefully, to be a much better person that I currently am.

This would be the first of many experiences or things that I have realized during my personal journey through life and I will add more as time goes by.
